This legendary session bassist’s resume is a “who’s who” of classic rock legends, and his signature Precision is just as iconic and distinct as the man himself. Featuring a gorgeous Lake Placid Blue finish, a striking Black Moto pickguard and a dark ebony fretboard that’s accentuated by the lack of frets, this guitar is as well-dressed to kill as it sounds. 

Taking influence from a ’60s P visually, this bass plays and sounds fantastic. The Modern C neck is amazingly comfortable for fast riffage, and the P/J pickups in this axe are absolutely killer. There’s a ton of low-mid punch and thump on tap that easily handles any style of blues and rock, and the ebony fingerboard definitely adds to the distinct but powerful voice this bass has. We also really dig how it has a blade switch like a Stratocaster or Telecaster to make switching between the different pickup settings effortless. If that wasn’t enough, the Bass XTender really makes a switch to a Drop D tuning easy.

Being fretless, this Tony Franklin P may not be your average P-Bass, but it’s just as versatile and then some!
