Now here’s one of the most beautiful RGs you’ll ever see. Feast your eyes this Ibanez Prestige RG5120M in an incredible Polar Lights color-changing finish!

The Polar Lights finish is Ibanez’s high-end take on the iridescent paint that has increased in popularity in recent years, and dang, is it an excellent one – the amount of colors that can be seen looking at this RG is much higher than the “average” color-changing finish. Ibanez seemed to use a little secret sauce on this one, as the gradient seems a lot more complex with greater depth. We tried to capture this in the photos as best we could, but it’s definitely something you have have to see in person to truly appreciate.

Pair this with the matching headstock, gorgeous mahogany back that contrasts wonderfully against the complexity of the top, and the figure birdseye maple fingerboard – the RG5120M is no doubt one of the most gorgeous Ibanez axes to have come through the shop.

This guitar is much more than just looks, though – it’s a top-of-the-line Prestige RG through and through. Stainless steel frets, the venerable Lo-Pro Edge locking tremolo, and a pair of voicing-switchable Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, which stay clear and tight no matter how much gain you throw at them (and add to the spaceship-like aesthetic of the guitar) round out the feature set.
