Music Store Live is proud to offer up this Mayones Aquila with a gorgeous flame maple top and figured birdseye maple roasted fretboard.

Always adding to their lineup of guitars, Mayones decided to come up with a more traditional body shape to add to their offerings. While it’s hard to say that this is a “vintage” looking instrument in any way, it definitely has a decidedly different tone than most of their other metal and shred-oriented guitars. It’s going to naturally appeal to players looking for something a bit more vintage-sounding but still demanding the extremely high build quality and ease of playing that comes with every Mayones.

The construction of this Aquila is every bit what we’ve come to expect from Mayones – masterful from top to bottom. The fretwork is incredible and the recessed trem bridge allows for nice low action. But what really sets this apart is the tone! The Aquila has some Lollar pickups in it which definitely have more of an old-school vibe to them. The volume knob is a push/pull so you can split the bridge pickup or run it in full humbucking mode, depending on what you need. 

Finally, there’s a Mayones offering for guitarists that don’t necessarily want to melt faces with their scorching hot tones but prefer something a little more tame and more open-sounding. With that said, this is definitely not your father’s S-style guitar.
