World-renowned guitarist John Browne and the expert luthiers over at Mayones have designed his signature series to sound and play as amazing as they look. The Bare Knuckle Nailbomb (bridge) and Cold Sweat (neck) pickups really sizzle and scream. They seem to be able to sense even the slightest of string vibration, which leads to seemingly never-ending sustain at your fingertips, whenever you need it. The hi-mids on these are really defined and you can saturate your tone with as much distortion as you’d like without worrying about ever getting a muddy note.

A simple master volume control (with push/pull coil-splitting capability) makes this a no-fuss shredder’s axe that always sounds great and won’t leave you with any hand fatigue after long sessions or shows.

Duvell is a metal machine that doesn’t skimp out on anything related to playability and tone. It’s a superstrat-shaped instrument with bolt-on neck and pointed horns for an aggressive look. This guitar comes in two main flavours: standard and Elite.

Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat Humbucker

The Cold Sweat humbucker is a tight and percussive ceramic powered humbucker with a high resonant peak, producing clear, detailed treble response and smooth mids.

The custom sized ceramic magnet gives the Cold Sweat humbucker a more controlled dynamic with stacks of output and sustain. The mix of ceramic powered bridge and Alnico V powered neck gives a broad palette of clean and driven tones which creates the perfect tone for a variety of modern rock styles.

The neck humbucker is very popular among shred players for its articulate but fluid tone, and it is ideal for effortless sweep picking; the bridge pickup is also known for its precise attack. Pick harmonics jump out and the whole feel is very touch sensitive, especially when used with high-gain. The powerful bass and treble response of the bridge humbucker has the effect of slightly scooping the mids, which creates a very precise and rich tone with masses of depth.

The Cold Sweat humbuckers are absolutely perfect for pushing a tube amp into natural overdrive, and they will also maintain superb definition with the full saturation of a high-gain amp.

Bare Knuckle Nailbomb Humbucker

The Nailbomb humbucker is the perfect synergy of old-school and modern rock tones in a high output humbucker with Alnico V or ceramic options for the bridge pickup.

From hot, fat blues rock through to aggressive thrash, the Nailbomb explodes with a strong and commanding voice. Contemporary players will take advantage of the full bore reaction of the pickup on full tilt; older school players will enjoy the range of classic tones and response using the volume pot to clean up.

The default Alnico V magnet offers up a huge, deep bottom end with rich, throaty mid range and warm highs. The bridge ceramic magnet option adds more output, tightens the bass response and smoothes the mid range slightly with a brighter cut in the high end, whilst retaining the core voice of the humbucker.

The Nailbomb neck humbucker has a woody and bright character when used clean; add overdrive and the tone tightens up for a focused and precise attack.
