After Mike passed away, he left the company to his son, Spencer, who is carrying on the family tradition of high-end, boutique basses built with care and a true passion for the art of instrument crafting. They also focus on keeping their instruments lightweight, without compromising any of the tone. They make sure it’ll sound great in the studio, but also will be super comfortable to play when you’re standing on stage with it strapped across your shoulder for hours on end. When the instrument is this easy and this comfortable to play, it makes it that much easier for it to just be an extension of you.

The playability of this P5 is truly boutique and high-end. It plays like butter and every note rings out with crystal clear clarity, growl, and punch. The Seymour Duncan pickup is a wonderful combination of vintage and modern. It sounds like everything you’ve always wanted out of a P-bass. It will perfectly sit in any mix you put it in. Along with sounding absolutely incredible, the bass feels amazing. The B-string is still nice and tight, even though it’s a 34″ scale. The neck feels incredibly smooth and one could play this bass for hours and hours on end without worrying about fatigue. With it being so light, too, it’s bound to be the new go-to bass for anybody that has long gigs or studio sessions that calls for a killer P-bass tone.

This is so much more than just a high-end copy of a traditional design. Hand-made in Washington, these basses are the cream of the crop. From top to bottom – this beast is an absolute tone monster!

Mike designed our P4 with the idea of replacing his personal 1964 P-Bass to play at gigs. He feels he absolutely hit it with the sound and vibe of a 50’s/60’s P-Bass from top to bottom and everywhere in between. Round and sweet tones flow from this classic ‘P’ with a thump at your fingertips to make your insides rattle!

The P5 (Mike’s five-string version of our P4) gives you all the classic P-bass sounds but with the extra depth of a low ‘B’ for when you just gotta get extra low-down.
