The SSV humbucking pickups are vintage-style humbuckers at their core with an extra shot of added clarity and brightness that especially shines through in this format of guitar. It can handle clean and distorted tones with ease, and will provide you with a bit more low-mid oomph compared to the S90-equipped JM model. This axe beautifully toes the line between vintage and modern tones.
Add the supremely functional Suhr locking tuners, a fantastic Gotoh 510 2-point tremolo that is a great functional subsitute for the classic JM style tremolo, contoured heel and other contemporary appointments and improvements, this Classic JM is vintage sound meets modern playability all wrapped up in a beautiful package.

Who doesn’t love its big, bold, sweeping shape? While giving the nod back to another era, the Suhr Classic JM starts with a sleeker, more refined body shape and adds enhancements to playability previously unattainable to the guitarist interested in a truly vibe-y guitar.
The Classic JM Pro offers options for a Gotoh 510 Tremolo that sounds great, and stays in tune with excellent intonation. Or, if you prefer, you can have a recessed TonePros tune-o-matic bridge with strings that pass through the body for super resonant performance. We also offer your choice of either two huge sounding but hum free S90 pickups or two Suhr SSV humbucking pickups with a low profile three way pickup selector.
