Paulownia, also known as empress wood, has a lot of similar tonal properties to swamp ash but at a fraction of the weight and doesn’t need to be chambered at all, so you get the true sound of a solidbody guitar. After the incredible feedback regarding our Classic T Paulownia Limited Edition, we would now like to introduce the Suhr Classic S Paulownia Limited Edition. A beautiful Paulownia Classic S body, available in Trans Sonic Blue, Trans 3 Tone Burst, Trans Seafoam Green, and Trans White, all with tortoise shell pickguards. Paired with a 3A Roasted Birdseye Maple ’60’s C vintage standard’ neck and fingerboard with heavy stainless-steel frets. A Suhr V63 pickup in the neck and middle positions, and a Suhr DSV humbucker in the bridge with a 5-way blade pickup selector, and a Gotoh 510 with bent saddles and steel block.
