This Meatsmoke is basically the loudest, meanest, grittiest and most well-built amp you’re going to find. At 300 watts, there is no venue too big and no music too heavy for this head. We’re still recovering from our demo of this amp. It’s kind of like an old school SVT, but on steroids. The clean channel can go from smooth, buttery, warm, and tubey bass frequencies to punchy, tight, and growly, and the overdrive channel goes from spastic tonal mayhem to extreme spastic tonal mayhem.

The distortion is rich, powerful and unrelenting but still very musical. Though it was designed as a bass amp, many guitar players have realized that the Meatsmoke works wonderfully as a metal guitar amp with some vintage flavoring as well. Similar to how the SVT was used by bassists and guitarists in the 60’s and 70’s. If you’re looking for serious volume, punch and grit, you’re not going to find something that’s put together better than the Meatsmoke.

The Meatsmoke is built with an attention to detail that is getting increasingly slim these days. Entirely hand-wired and assembled in Seattle, the construction of this head is as rock-solid and powerful as the sound. This is an amp that is built to be played and pushed night after night.
